GSO at the Basilica: Beethoven’s Mass in C
April 7 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Ground-breaking at the time of its creation, Beethoven’s Mass in C is among “the most thrilling settings in the history of the Mass”, described by the composer himself as “heartfelt resignation, whence comes a deep sincerity of religious feeling”.
The GSO welcomes favourite organist Joe Carere, and the return of guest soloists Lida Szkwarek, Pascale Spinney, Ryan Downey, and Zachary Read, who brought standing ovations in the 2018 GSO production of “Hansel and Gretel”.
Conductor: Judith Yan
